Hearing "you have a cavity" usually means one thing: the drill. But when a cavity is caught early, that isn't always the case anymore. At Laveen Smiles we offer no-drill cavity treatment with Curodont™ Repair Fluoride Plus.
Cavities start in the enamel, the hard outer layer of your tooth. In the early stage, the enamel is weakened and losing minerals, but there isn't a hole yet. These early spots often show up as white or light brown marks, or we find them on your X-rays. Once decay gets past the enamel into the softer layer underneath, it needs a filling.

Curodont is applied right to the tooth. It works its way into the early cavity and helps your enamel rebuild from the inside using calcium and phosphate minerals that are already in your saliva. Regular fluoride mainly strengthens the surface of the tooth. Curodont is designed to work throughout the depth of the early cavity.
Curodont is for early cavities that are still in the enamel. It's a great option for kids and adults who want to avoid a filling, and for anyone who gets anxious about the drill. Deeper cavities still need a filling or, if the damage is large, a same-day crown. Dr. Evans will look at your exam and X-rays and tell you which option fits your tooth.
Coverage varies by plan. We'll check your benefits and let you know your cost before treatment. CareCredit is also accepted.
Early cavities usually don't hurt, which is why regular checkups matter. The earlier we find a cavity, the more likely you can skip the drill. Call Laveen Smiles at (602) 603-5446 or book online to schedule your checkup.
